Born and raised in a small town in Montana, Joanne forged every opportunity to build a successful corporate career against all odds. Finding her grit and determination not to be silenced or canceled in a predominantly all-male engineering and technology industry took her to great highs and harrowing lows.
A lifetime of being diminished by others since birth only intensified her drive to prove herself in an environment that does not like women pushing for the glass ceiling. Once at the top with outward success only intensified the feelings of rejection, resentment, and unworthiness. Understanding Complex PTSD from years of childhood trauma, domestic abuse, and mental, learning, and physical disabilities allowed freedom from unresolved trauma.
Accepting Christ at 49 opened the door to a true understanding of self-acceptance and unconditional love that created a radical change in living a life free of shame and regrets. Embracing freedom and peace with a changed attitude allowed for deep reflection and wisdom, resulting in a raw and authentic voice to be reckoned with that refuses to be silenced.
Virtue of Honor: Acquiring Truth is Joanne’s first book. She plans to continue writing and encouraging others to find their inner strength.
