About the Author

Meet Joanne Richardson

Born and raised in a small town in Montana, Joanne Richardson defied every expectation placed on her. In an industry dominated by men—engineering and technology—she built a powerhouse corporate career through sheer grit, resilience, and the refusal to be silenced or canceled.

From birth, Joanne was diminished, dismissed, and underestimated. That only fueled her determination to break the glass ceiling in environments that punished women for daring to rise. But success came with a cost. Behind the accolades and executive titles, she wrestled with deep-rooted trauma—Complex PTSD formed through childhood abuse, domestic violence, learning challenges, and invisible disabilities.

Everything changed at 49, when she accepted Christ. That moment became the turning point—a radical shift from shame and striving to freedom and self-acceptance. In that surrender, she discovered unconditional love and a voice that could no longer be silenced.

And at 60, she uncovered a final truth: the mental illness she never asked for had been speaking through her for years—and naming it finally released her voice.

Today, Joanne speaks and writes with raw, unfiltered clarity. Her message is bold, redemptive, and rooted in truth. Virtue of Honor: Acquiring Truth is her debut work, but far from her last. She is on a mission to help others reclaim their stories, confront their past, and walk boldly into the freedom they were always meant for.
